Broadway On Tour Workshop - Music and Dance FUNdamentals

Summer Session: for Beginners and More Experienced, Ages 8-15

June 14 - July 26, 2010 (No meeting July 5th)

Mondays  6:30 – 8:30pm

 

Six sessions with two professional instructors, a T-shirt, and a theater performance for $85 !

An extremely affordable way to improve your dance and vocal technique for your next audition.

 

This high energy music and dance workshop is team taught by two instructors;

    Musical Director/Vocal Coach Erik Przytulski and Choreographer/Dance Teacher Allison Horner.

Age appropriate Broadway scores and popular music are used to teach stage movement and dance, vocal placement, production, and acting technique. Students rehearse each week culminating in a short performance presentation for friends and family at the Ebell Theater, as well as additional performance opportunities at local community events. 

All rehearsals are at the Ebell Theater, 625 French Street in Santa Ana, CA

Workshop cost is $75 and the cast T-shirt is $10. If you have taken a recent FUNdamentals workshop and already have the T-shirt, you do not need to purchase another one.

Staff:

Erik Przytulski- Erik studied music and composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston. After college, he created Pretzyl Music Productions and continues to make his living as a songwriter/producer for various clients and musicians, private piano and theory instructor, piano accompanist for the Waldorf School in Orange County, St. Timothy's in Laguna Niguel and keyboardist for the critically acclaimed new band "Natusol". Erik recently co-wrote and produced the new musical A Song for Christmas. Past shows Erik has worked on as writer, arranger and musical director include: Cancel Christmas, Oklahoma, Once Upon A Mattress, Urinetown, Surf City, USA!, The Last Five Years and Christmas in the Land of Oz

Allison Horner- Allison began dancing professionally at age 16 when she joined the Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle.  She has danced with other companies that include American Ballet Ensemble, Ballet Austin and Staatstheatre Darmstadt in Germany.  Upon retirement from ballet, Allison’s career transitioned from dancer to choreographer. Favorite recent works include; Bye Bye Birdie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Grease, Guys and Dolls, Honk, Big Bad, Seussical, Baby, Mulan, I Love You You’re Perfect Now Change, Fiddler on the Roof and Schoolhouse Rock-Live. In addition to teaching dance in the United States and Europe and working as a choreographer, Allison has performed on television, modeled and continues to perform publicly.
